Woyww #163, a re-vamped journal page ,disaster and some success..

Well it is Wednesday again and so that wonderful midweek treat where we fly around blogland courtesy of our hostess with the mostest,Julia...so here is my desk:

On my desk last week ..well without the desk..due to blogger grr!, was a journal page...

.well some you win and some you lose...I erm, well I tried to make it better...and let's just say...the left hand side bit the dust!!!  (apart from the metal heart have kept that to use somewhere else!)..believe me when i had finished tinkering that was no hope for the page at all!!!
So here are the replacement pages...will do a post with details later:

Not sure the photos do the textures justice..but i am much a happier with them now....well, may still tweak the left hand page?!..lets hope it doesn't end in disaster!!!
Anyway have a great week I am off to get desk hopping before taking my daughter for her  hospital appointment!!
Ps my blog candy is still running see here.

to join in all this midweek fun, hop across here and join in.

  1. Wow, I thought it looked pretty good last week. Tinkering can get the better of us all. But I think you have still created amazing pages.

  10. Don't tweak it any more! It is lovely just as it is, really, yes it is......I have only just noticed that you have three Tim Holtz roundy thingys!!! I am getting one for my birthday, maybe I should have asked for two. Shame about your page, I liked it when you first showed it, especially the heart, but at least you saved that. 11. Great work space and I love the way you hang all your tags. I think the blue one with the butterfly is my favorite. The new journal pages are absolute great. They work well together because they are so different. Love the blue background with these 'stripes'. Hope you have a crafty week. Bye, Franka #44

  13. Such a relief to know it's not just me that ends up with bits that have all gone belly-up! This is a great turnaround though - I really like the contrasting colours with the images and themes that complement each other. The tape round the edge of the blue is gorgeously embedded in the colours. Like it all a lot!
Also, finally managed to get your blog candy into my column PROPERLY instead of just a boring link! Very pleased with myself!!

  17. Hi Trace - fab to see your pages evolving. I have a page in my art journal that I started and don't like one bit. It is still there unfinished. I read you must carry on until you get to where you want to be. So it is still there not torn out yet!! Love the addition of the quotes. Thanks for popping to see me - I've had my lunch now what about you!! :-) WOYWW Hugs from Helen 69

  21. I wouldn't tweak it if it was mine - think it is just right as it is, but then I liked the previous pages as well.
Haven't posted on your blog candy, not because I don't like the stamps, I do - in fact I have both plates already ha ha.
Thanks for visiting earlier - much appreciated.

  22. Tinkering will be the death of us crafters won't it!!! It's so annoying when it all goes pear shaped, although I'm loving the blue you ended up with so it was all worth it in the end.
Hope the hospital appointment goes OK.

  24. Oh my! Clean desk! I must advert my eyes! EEK! The first journal page attempt wasn't horrible; it was just kind of boring. The second one rocks though. I wouldn't monkey with it, but that's just me. Me, I'd move on to muck up something else.
